Hosa DB9 to DB9 Control/Sync for ADAT information
Alesis uses 9-pin "D-Sub" cables to synchronize two or more ADAT or ADAT-XT digital multi-track recorders, and to connect their BRC remote control. They changed their original specification for synchronization cables when it was found that ADAT power users with 2 or more ADATs and a BRC remote were putting a lot of bi-directional signal through that cable, creating crosstalk within the cable, which caused loss of sync and other strange phenomena.
